Mychal Ferger
Baptiste & Yin Instructor

Mychal brings a unique sense of empowerment and compassion to each of her classes at Yarrow. Through intention, meditation, pranayama, and asana, her goal is for students to leave her class feeling relaxed, refreshed, and renewed. She teaches in a way that allows her students to turn inward and manifest mindfulness, healing, and peace.

Mychal discovered yoga as an undergraduate at Gonzaga University, where she enrolled in a vinyasa basics course while pursuing her bachelor’s degree. She immediately fell in love with how the practice made her feel, both physically and mentally.  A self-proclaimed recovering perfectionist and stress-addict, she found healing through yoga. “The fusion of movement, breath, and meditation turned out to be the perfect medicine,” she says. Years later, she discovered Yarrow.

“I came for the Bikram, but stayed for the Baptiste,” she laughs. “Baptiste yoga has allowed me to explore new levels of possibility in my body and mind. I’m intrigued by the relationship between effort and ease, expanding beyond perceived limitations, and finding strength in vulnerability. I take the lessons I’ve learned on my mat into my everyday life.”

Intent on deepening her practice, Mychal enrolled in Yarrow’s Baptiste-Inspired Yoga Teacher Training in 2017. Since then, she has found true transformation in her personal practice and is eager to share the gift of yoga with others. Mychal is known for her compassionate, restorative teaching style with a strong emphasis on authenticity and self-love. She aims to give her students a judgment-free space to explore yoga and all of its therapeutic benefits.
